Hola

^-^ Here's something embarrassing(or not) to liven up this dead ol' blog.

So today I urgently needed to have my 'nature break', and thus I ran to the washroom situated at the community centre. The break was quite urgent really, and I totally screamed when I saw the "toilet under cleaning" sign.

Well, then I saw a man in front of me, staring at me.

Apparently, the toilet wasn't under cleaning by the cleaning lady. Rather, they were having some technical repair work and I was screaming at the toilet sign in front of the puzzled repairman. I wanted to run and hide. Oh lord.

That's all.

The term PR is no longer a recognition of a new found home

What is citizenship to people nowadays?
This question applies especially for those Singaporean PRs.
From my knowledge, citizenship is a recognition that you are part of a country, regardless of whether you were born there or not. It also means that that country is now your homeland.

That being said, I cannot believe my eyes when I read the article of a China PR national returning back to her "homeland" to take part in China's 60th national day. Has the term "PR" in Singapore merely a tool for any foreigner to earn money and then return to their "homeland"? This is truly troubling. I think people should have more respect for the term "PR". They should take it only because they truly consider settling down, rather than taking it just to earn money.

Has Singapore been made used of unknowingly? Or are we merely aware of it but not doing anything?

Just my 2 cents worth. No offense intended.

I don't love you either

I'm dead inside, do you know?
No, not at all.
Cause you're so unfeeling and cold
Nothing ever matters to you
As long as you win
Truth can always fall

I don't think I love you
Heck, you've never loved me too
Threats to disown me, and even to kill
I'm sick of them, can't you see?

Yes, I am a loser, I have no friends
I sulk and scowl like it's the End
I'm the total useless child that no one befriends

If that's what please you, go ahead
Delude yourself, cause I just can't
Lie to myself and please you
Respect isn't giving in
Respect is to be earned
That is surely something
You have never learnt.

My mother repeatedly wishes to disown me. Anyone wanna adopt me? >_>"

Kitty Killer is another sick minded fuck

I help stray cats end their suffering'
Estelle Low, Straits Times 21 Jun 09;

You can call him a kitty killer and he will not mind.

Retiree Tony Tan Tuan Khoon, 64, makes no bones that he has trapped more than 300 stray cats in his Seletar Hills estate and sent them to the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore to be put to sleep.

In fact, he insists that he is being kind. He said research has shown that stray cats usually cannot live for more than five years compared to indoor cats. 'Who's the cruel one? I'm not cruel. I'm helping them to end their suffering.'

In 2002, stray cats had kittens in the space between his roof and ceiling, causing the plywood ceiling boards to give way. He has also had to fumigate his house twice to get rid of the fleas brought in by strays. The cats have also chased his pet rabbit and stolen his food.

Mr Tan got so incensed that he started making his own cat traps - upsized versions of mouse traps.

--

This man, by no means, is helping cats. Although he said he were "kind" because cats lived shorter outside...blah blah blah. Does that give him a right to kill them? It's like saying that some tribal people have a shorter life span, or perhaps even some people in other countries have a shorter life span, and therefore we need to end their lives so as to end their 'suffering'. Don't you find it simply ludicious? He is just giving a lame excuse for his outright cruel acts.

I would seriously laugh if someone said he needs to die because Singaporeans live a shorter life than XXX country and therefore they would like to end our 'suffering'. Then of course, I'll bloody blow the invaders' brains off.

Notice how he contradicts his intentions? He said that it was all for the cats. And yet, why does he mention that he was ANGRY that the cats stole his rabbit food? Hmmm? It turns out that this guy is some sick fck who take cats to be culled just because of his vengeful character, rather than truly helping them.

Seriously, if you wanna help cats, RELOCATE THEM. Don't cull them. They have lives too you know? Yes, kapish. Before I attempt impalement on someone.

dA and ...prize giving

Weee. I attended the dA thing on Wednesday @__@
It's a gathering of deviantart.com users in Singapore. 30-50 or more people turned up. I realised how many deviants liked the colour black >.> and how many of them actually wore visual kei-ish clothing. I guess we're a weird bunch.

So the first two hours I stalked around with Suling, and was rather apprehensive about approaching anyone at all. I wavered a lot, I guess. Then, somehow, the ice broke and I started going around with this piece of paper which says "HI!" Well, ridiculous? If you have seen those people going around with "I give free hugs", you'll probably think twice.

I had three autographs... I forgot their usernames...one of them's $heidi. She was so friendly xD And the other dude...urghs, he was just utterly reluctant to give me his signature and scrawled this puny little line-ish thing on the A5 size paper. And I thought the paper was small.

Oh yes, I also found many left handers on that day! Wow wee! There's at least 40% lefties there, and it's so awesome -squee- I've never seen so many lefties in my life, except if there were to be a lefthanders day =.o

Left handers rule in art? Hahah.
There were more photographers than artists, really.

I saw zemotion @_@ She kept avoiding people. She looked cool-ish.

PRIZE GIVING
--
Nah, I'm not the prize winner. Like, as if I would be. -rolls eyes- I slacked for the entire year last year and miraculously increased 10% in my overall grades.

Apparently our class's very very obedient, for everyone turned up. 3e2 had like...2/10 people who turned up =.= Guess no merit points for them then!

And wow, Ivan was top in English! Ivan! Go, Ivan! (I feel like a cheerleader =.=)

Linda, as usual, was top in so many things.

I just realised today that strangely, my form teacher is obsessed about Hitler or something >_> It's like....4/10 conversation he'll pop something ABSOLUTELY strange and RANDOM about wtfloserlameshit Hitler.

Thoughts on Aware/Gays&Lesbians/Jeanette Ow star awards/Jackie-who?

Thoughts on Aware
Finally the Aware saga is over. You know, this has probably been the most hyped about who-cares issue in Singapore. In fact, the fact that Josie Lau managed to be voted into Aware shows how weak the organisation is in ensuring that it has no loopholes. So perhaps after this they will probably be prepared for more challenges.

What puzzles me greatly is that Singaporeans did not give a chance for the new..ex-exco a chance to show what they can do before asking them to step down. What they have done is no different from the exco coming in and 'seizing' power. No opinions, no reasoning. Plain, unbiased and opinionated judgement. So what if they are from the same church? We have not seen what they have done. They clearly stated that all races/religion/sexual orientation would be respected and no one is listening! All they are asking is that they should step down because they are, what, from the same church?

Just like what the new ex-exco said that their agenda is to bring aware back on the right track, those people who acuse them are not because of the fact that they were discriminated, rather, they were there for their own selfish reasons and use some excuse to 'justify' their means.

All in all, I don't really care. I'm just a bystander who doesn't take sides. Aware's short 'downfall' is clearly due to the fact of their negligence. Although it isn't right to make use of their shortcoming by taking over the organisation, but they still have to bear the consequence of their oversight.
---
Thoughts on Gays and Lesbians
Okay, so Aware said they would respect these people with an alternative sexual orientation in Singapore, and hence would not discriminate against them. Oh sure, but since they do not 'discriminate' against them, does it mean that they would not discourage these...preferences?

Research have shown that gays and lesbians are NOT BORN WITH IT. Hence, by not showing that it is not acceptable in our society, it is as though we are PROMOTING these people. If this were so, then perhaps the law has to allow gay marriages! If we show that we respect their wishes and allow them to do whatever they like, it is the same as telling people that "OH sure, gays/lesbians aren't allowed to be married and stuff, but since you like to be that way, you can be that way. We're so not going to stop you at all" This, in turn, places as though our law doesn't give a damn.

End of this thought.

Jeanette vs Joanne
Jeanette Ow(sp?) did not win the award. Joanne Peh did. Okay, so some people do not feel that Joanne deserved it, but look, how weak their arguments are!

"Joanne does not deserve the award because she is not the main lead".
So if one were not the main lead, one does not deserve to win? This is an extremely weak argument that Joanne should not win. In fact, it is biased and opinionated.

"I shall reduce my time to watch channel 8 from now on (cause Jeanette did not win)"
Oh look, this dude will not be watching channel 8 much from now on. This is clearly a form of blackmail because the person probably knows that he/she has made such a weak argument that they have to resort in threatening media corp that since it did not give Jeanette the award, the person shall not watch it much any longer.

Mmm yeah, if it were me, I don't think Jeanette deserved the award. All she does is smile throughout. Sure her acting skills improved, but Joanne takes the harder scenes. If you leave it to Jeanette, she probably won't be able to take bugs. Hah.

Jackie-whatshisname-?

“In that address, he reportedly said of Singapore: ‘A lot of people are not like those in USA and Japan who voluntarily have self-respect. When you don’t have self-respect, the government will have to control you.”

Okay, what does self-respect got to do with the government controlling you? This comes from the same person who said Chinese people needs to be controlled. So in this address he said that Singaporeans are being controlled in a derogatory manner. Hence, does this imply that Chinese people are being controlled because they are lowly beings? Oh, I forgot, Jackie-who is a Chinese!

What is self respect? It is respecting oneself by not letting us get trampled over. We have pride, dignity and a sense of shame. This, we can see, is not seen in Jackie himself. As you can see, his previous speech on the Chinese mob being controlled shows how lack of self respect he has, for he is a Chinese, and Chinese have to be controlled. He thinks he needs to be controlled. He doesn't need free will. So, who has more self respect?

Singaporeans, due to our self respect, fight for rights. This is why our society manages to be safe and racially harmonious. It is because of our self respect that we debate together and strive for a better place. By saying we have lack of self respect is a great big irony, coming from a person who thinks Chinese needs to be controlled.

Oh, by the way, by lashing out at someone who has probably never reach high school is a waste of time. Afterall, Jackie-whatshisname has shown to us the level of intellectual ability he has. Please, he should just stick to kungfu movies, that doesn't need much intelligence. And he probably would not disgrace himself thus.

This never fails to crack me up.
Batman? Do you have throat cancer?
